Local Public Health Contribution

Each year Pfizer New Zealand allocates close to $250,000 in funds to support wider public health initiatives, medical education events and conferences.

Patient support programmes receiving assistance cover a range of therapeutic areas, including pain management, haemophilia, endocrinology, smoking cessation and men’s health.

We fund a number of regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions held nationwide throughout hospitals and public health organisations.

Pfizer New Zealand also sponsors many national and international conferences held by non-government health organisations. These entities largely rely on public donations to fund their work towards improving the standard of patient care in certain therapeutic areas.

Pfizer New Zealand’s corporate donations have benefited a number of organisations including Arthritis New Zealand, Dermatological Society, New Zealand Rheumatology Association, Glaucoma New Zealand, Society of Oncology, Tobacco Free Aotearoa, Meningitis Foundation and the Haemophilia Association of New Zealand.
